Overview

Front of House (FOH) Supervisor

A Front of House Supervisor at Canada's leading casual dining restaurant, Boston Pizza, assists the General Manager with the Restaurant’s daily operations. This includes supporting the training, development, and performance management of the Front of House team members. The Front of House Supervisor supports the team to ensure that our most important people, our Guests, and team members, have an excellent Boston Pizza experience from start to finish. They also demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities, believe in championing a fun and safe work environment, and contribute to thriving workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise FOH operations during shifts, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead, support, and motivate the FOH team, promoting a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with staff scheduling to maintain adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
  • Provide training and coaching to new and existing FOH staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Supporting leadership team in managing and controlling food and beverage/liquor costs in the restaurant (food cost variance cannot be greater than 2% per week and waste cannot be greater than 1%)
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Handle cash and POS system operations accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality or restaurant industry (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a guest-first mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
